By utilizing sentence starters and t-charts such as the ones pictured below, I engage students in discussing important concepts by promoting the use of content-specific language to deepen and extend their understanding.

Here is a student work sample of a choreographic score, in which learners were required to create an individualized "Effort Dance" using Effort qualities, Shape, and Pathway. Students were provided with the notated, colored cards to guide their learning and help in developing their unique choreography.
As an educator, it is important to me that my students receive valuable and constructive feedback. My learners are guided to improve their understanding of movement concepts and performance by receiving individualized feedback in addition to the scoring of a numerical rubric.
